Friday, February 24th is Yale alumni ski day at Eldora Mountain Resort, three miles west of Nederland and known for its low-key vibe. One of very few east of the Continental Divide, it includes 480 acres of National Forest System lands under Special Use Permit. Bring your Ikon pass to downhill ski or snowboard on varied terrains, or cross country ski or snowshoe on the quiet and beautiful Nordic trails. Day pass ticket info is on their website. All abilities welcome!
The Ski-n-Ride bus (Route NB), operated by RTD during ski season, serves as easy transportation from town to mountain. Meet at the upstairs level of the Indian Peaks lodge at 9am for downhill skiing. We’ll ski (with breaks) until noon. Then it’s lunch, when we’ll meet the general manager of Eldora, Brent Tregaskis, for a short update about Eldora and to answer questions. Lunch on your own dime.

Due to a generous donor, there are a limited number of free ski tickets for the day for those who need assistance.
